Hi jean - not sure if you'll read this but I couldn't reply to your comment by e-mail. I haven't tried shirring yet, but I did find a blog of someone who had a borther machine and she tighten the bobbin case which I'm going to do when I've finished my other projects so that if my machine needs fixing after I've tinkered with it I won't be sat twiddling my thumbs!!
I'm an English expat living in Singapore, mum to one beautiful little girl, trying to become a quilter, sewer and photographer - but the attention span of a gnat seems to hinder my progress!
While googling i came to your blog.. i tried shirring too.. but in vain... did you manage to do it since?? thanks.
